About Us

“We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.”
— Winston Churchill

The Licata Family Foundation was formed in 2017 by Joseph and Annette Licata. Mr. Licata is a co-founder and partner at Rossillo Licata LLP.  He is an experienced trial attorney with such recognitions as Life Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a prestigious trial lawyer group with membership by invitation only for qualified lawyers who have won million dollar cases and which acknowledges the fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers in advocacy excellence, and having the highest possible rating by Martindale Hubbell, a A/V rating based on other lawyers’ and judges’ peer reviews for the highest level of professional excellence.  Joseph is also a member of a real estate development group with land development projects in the Hamptons.  Annette is Chief Executive Officer of Licata Interiors LLC, an interior design company with clients from the Hamptons to New York City. Joseph and Annette met in college and after Joseph’s graduation from law school, they married and moved to Nassau County where they currently reside with their three children, Sofia, Anabella and Joseph.

Joseph and Annette have been active and engaged supporters of several charities and the Licata Family Foundation is an extension of that spirit of giving and a way for the Licata family to continue the legacy of charitable and philanthropic works. The Foundation was purposely named for the family. The Foundation was organized by Joseph and Annette, with Joseph, Sr. and Patricia, serving as Directors, and  Sofia, Anabella and Joseph serving as Junior Board Advisors.

"Our parents, Joseph, Sr. and Patricia Licata and Wilfredo and Anita Hernandez, have so selflessly donated so much of their time and resources to a number of charities throughout our lives.  Joseph and Patricia have been actively involved with several charities, including the West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition and their beloved Church, Saints Cyril and Methodius in Deer Park, New York. Wilfredo and Anita have been lifelong members of the Rotary, where they have generously donated their time and resources for the benefit of the less fortunate and needy. It is this lifelong commitment and dedication exhibited by our parents in supporting organizations that focus on bettering the lives of others and improving our community that serve as the core of our philosophy at LFF." - Joseph and Annette Licata
